Tasting Notes Heathcote Region Rating 8/10
James Halliday, Wine Companion 2017 - Tasted March 2016 Rating 90
65% cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc, 35% Shiraz. Hand picked and sorted, whole berry wild open ferment, 20 days on skins, matured in French oak (20% new) for 14 months. Bright and juicy first up with some red fruits, but more black, then the tannin cavalry rides through the finish.
Christian Maier, Head Sommelier RACV Club - Tasted October 2015
Violets! Juju berries...very elegant. Feminine, pretty, has lifted aromatics. Lighter, fine tannins, very enticing. Seductive and elegant. Nose of violets, rose petals, lavender, dark berries, maraschino cherries. Palate of wild berries, cherries, mocha, juicy fruit, nutmeg, spices.
Matt Dunne, Group Sommelier -Aria group - Tasted October 2015
Violets and lavender on the nose, fresh blackberries and red fruits- red currants on the palate. Medium bodied, fleshy, jubey. Has high crunchy acidity. Is a more versatile wine. Good length on the palate. Still a baby!
