Ben Edwards Tasted April 2014
Deep in colour, with a vibrant red hue at the rim, the bouquet delivers fragrant and pure red fruits, anise and liqueur soaked plums; the palate has true presence, and straddles the divide between power and purity with grace, as the fine-grained tannins and plush fruit meld seamlessly on the finish; a benchmark example of the house style in full flight, yet with at least 5-10 years of enjoyment ahead, if not more, in ideal cellaring conditions.
James Halliday Tasted March 2014
Good depth to the colour and hue; the complex bouquet and palate explore black fruits, liquorice and even notes of tar; the result is a wine of considerable stature, good balance and a promise of further complexity down the track.
Christian Maier Tasted October 2015
Savoury- earth and spice. Fruit- bramble berry, in the plum spectrum. Small touch of dark chocolate. Beautiful acidity- in balance. Drinks comfortably now- but will last for years.
