Deep in colour, with a vibrant red hue at the rim, the bouquet delivers fragrant and pure red fruits, anise and liqueur soaked plums; the palate has true presence, and straddles the divide between power and purity with grace, as the fine-grained tannins and plush fruit meld seamlessly on the finish; a benchmark example of the house style in full flight, yet with at least 5-10 years of enjoyment ahead, if not more, in ideal cellaring conditions. Savoury earth and spice. Fruit bramble berry, in the plum spectrum. Small touch of dark chocolate. Beautiful acidity in balance. Drinks comfortably now but will last for years. Tasted October 2015

Good depth to the colour and hue; the complex bouquet and palate explore black fruits, liquorice and even notes of tar; the result is a wine of considerable stature, good balance and a promise of further complexity down the track. Tasted March 2014, Rating 93
