Award Winning Heathcote Wines
From the heart of the Heathcote Wine Region, the long established Redesdale Estate vines grown on this cool climate small vineyard have adapted to the dry, volcanic, sedimentary rock site in Central Victoria. The intensely flavoured fruit is hand picked with care, so whole bunches enter the winemaking process in perfect condition.
Although the vines were planted in 1984 (and the grapes sold), the first vintage was made for the Redesdale Estate label only in 1999.
Our wines are made from the grapes grown only on the estate, producing a true history of wine from the same vines, grown on the same soil, year after year.
The wines are aged in French oak barriques for about 18 months and further aged in the bottle prior to release, resulting in wine that shows great elegance and consistently gains top awards.
These southern cool climate Heathcote wines include award-winning old-vine Shiraz and a unique blend of Cabernet Sauvignon – Cabernet Franc (with a small percentage of Malbec and Merlot), excellent to enjoy now and perfect for your private cellar.
Our policy of reserving parcels of all vintages made since 1999 has made possible the purchase of carefully stored museum vintage wines of great provenance for our customers.
